Hi, I'm Sherrita — and I built this for the kids the system keeps missing.
A New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 21+ years of clinical experience and 25+ years supporting students and families.

My story
I'm Sherrita Sims, a New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 21 years of clinical experience and more than 25 years supporting students in educational and special education settings.
Since earning my degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2002, I have worked with autistic students, struggling readers, neurodivergent learners, and families navigating communication, literacy, executive functioning, and school-related challenges.
Before becoming a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, I worked in a private special education preschool supporting autistic learners — experiences that helped shape my neuroaffirming and relationship-based approach.
Today, I specialize in supporting bright, capable tweens and teens who may be working harder than people realize.
My approach is warm, practical, neuroaffirming, and grounded in real life — helping families better understand what may be happening beneath communication, literacy, learning, and executive functioning struggles.
My philosophy
Four things I believe deeply about working with neurodivergent kids.
Neuroaffirming, always
Your child doesn't need to be fixed. They need to be understood, respected, and supported in ways that honor their brain.
Practical, not preachy
Strategies you can use today — in the car, at the kitchen table, in real life. No clinical jargon.
Built for the in-between years
Tweens, teens, and transition-age students are too often forgotten. They're my whole focus.
Warm and human
Expert guidance without judgment. We're in this together.
